How to make Qwant the default search engine

Do you like Qwant?  Would you like to make it your default browser but you don’t know how to do it? Here’s how!

 Mozilla Firefox

Go to www.qwant.com
Click the magnifying glass in the search bar of the toolbar, then click Add “Qwant”.

Click again on the magnifying glass in the search bar of the toolbar, then click Change search settings.

Select Qwant from the list of default search engines.

Qwant is now the default search engine on your browser.

 


 Google Chrome

Go to www.qwant.com
Right-click the Qwant search bar.

Click Add as search engine. A new window will open.

Type “Qwant” for the name, “https://www.qwant.com/?q=%s” in the URL field and “q” in the keyword field.

Click on the Chrome menu in the upper right corner.

Select Settings. Click on Manage Search Engines under the Search section.

Qwant appears in the Other search engines section. Click Make default.


 Internet Explorer (IE)

Please go to this page and click the blue button to set Qwant as the default search engine of Internet Explorer.

 


 Opera

Opera does not currently allow you to set  Qwant  as the default search engine. However, it is still possible to define Qwant as the homepage or to add the extension.

It is also possible to create a search shortcut from the Opera search bar. Please follow the steps below to see how it can be done:

Go to www.qwant.com
Righ-click the Qwant search bar.

 Safari

Safari does not currently allow you to set Qwant as the default search engine. However, it is still possible to define Qwant as the homepage or to add the extension.
