L’heure du bilan

It will soon be a year since the beta version of Qwant was launched. With 2014 just begun, it’s time for the very first stock-take!

We’ve decided to let you know how things went in 2013 because, above all else, Qwant is down to you.

The numbers below summarise what happened between our launch last February and the 31 December, and relate to worldwide users.

Here’s our 2013 in numbers:

Most significantly of all, we recorded approximately 507 million search queries during this period of just under 10 months.

The average visit lasted 5.36 minutes. This figure is particularly pleasing to us because Qwant is designed to let you explore the web in a different way, and we want it to be the search engine of discovery!

Another statistic to take note of is the 60% of visitors who come back to Qwant after their first visit. This percentage is increasing as the months pass: you’re developing good habits 😉

Since they were introduced, the Albums have proved very popular. The topics they’ve been used for are very diverse and a constant source of great surprise to us!

In 2013 you came to explore the web with us in large numbers!

More and more of you are showing your faith in us; and you’re right to do so because Qwant continues to treat your personal data with respect and not to track your movements on the web. We want Qwant to inspire you to discover new things and experience the diversity of the net!

A huge thank you to you all! It’s due to you that the Qwant adventure is continuing and is going from strength to strength!

We’ll have several new things to tell you about soon.
